DAY
2: CHENNAI-MAHABALIPURAM
A
morning half-day sightseeing awaits you at Chennai, the largest
and most important city of South India. We cover Fort St.
George, San Thome Cathedral and the museums that contain the
world's most complete and impressive selection of Chola bronzes
and stone sculptures from South India and the Deccan. Next
we head for Mahabalipuram by road (65km / 1½ hrs).
Built in the 7th century, this ancient city is said to be
a sculptor's delight, boasting of some of India's most sublime
rock-cut art, for which it is now a World Heritage site. On
arrival you would be assited with your check in at the hotel.

DAY
3: MAHABALIPURAM-KANCHIPURAM
After
breakfast we leave for a sightseeing tour covering Shore Temple,
Arjuna's Penance and Five Rathas. Next we drive down to Kanchipuram
(65km / 1½ hrs), the golden city of thousand temples,
one of Hinduism's seven most sacred cities of the early Cholas
of the 2nd century. After a sightseeing tour of Kanchipuram
we drive back to Mahabalipuram. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.
DAY
4: MAHABALIPURAM-TANJORE
Early
in the morning we drive on for Tanjore (300 km / 6 hrs). Upon
arrival we visit the Brihadewswara Temple, also known as the
'Big Temple', built by the Chola rulers. This massive temple
is 216 feet high and has a single spherical stone on top that
weighs 80 tons. Overnight stay in Tanjore.

5: TANJORE-TRICHY-MADURAI
After
breakfast we leave for Madurai (200 km / 4 hrs) via Trichy.
On arrival you would be assisted with your check in. We get
to enjoy a city tour of Trichy, covering Srirangam Temple
& Rockfort, Trichy's most famous landmark, which has a
temple perched on the outcrop of a rock. We proceed to Madurai
and on arrival assist you with your check in at the hotel.

6: MADURAI
Madurai
is famous for its immense Meenakshi Sundareshwar Temple Complex,
one of the largest temple complexes in India built, between
the 16th and 18th centuries. It is estimated to have 33 million
sculptures there. The afternoon would be at leisure. Overnight

7: MADURAI-PERIYAR
Early
in the morning we drive off for Periyar Wildlife Santuary
in Thekkady. On arrival we assist you with your check in at
the hotel. In the evening we have an exciting tour of the
sanctuary by boat on lake Periyar. Overnight stay in Periyar.

8: PERIYAR-COCHIN
After
breakfast we would be heading for Cochin (190 km / 4 hrs),
one of the finest harbors on the Arabian coastline, famous
as a port for foreign traders in early times. A city of peninsulas
and islands, today it is Kerala's commercial hub. Overnight
stay in Cochin.
DAY
9: COCHIN
A
morning tour of Cochin is on the cards, visiting the Dutch
Palace (built by the Portuguese), Jew Town, the 1568 Jewish
Synagogue, spice market, where the air is filled with the
pungent smell of spices, St. Francis' Church and the famous
Chinese fishing nets. In the evening you would get to enjoy
a performance of Kathakali, the most popular classical dance
of South India. Overnight stay in Cochin.

10: COCHIN-GURUVAYOOR-MYSORE
An
early morning drive takes us to Mysore (325 km / 6 hrs) via
Guruvayoor. Known as the Dwarka of the South, Guruvayoor is
dedicated to Lord Krishna and is the most important Hindu
pilgrim destination of South India. On arrival at Mysore you
would be assisted with your check in at the hotel. Overnight
stay in Mysore.

11: MYSORE
We
take a full day's tour of Mysore with visits to Srirangapatnam
and Tipu's Summer Palace, the Maharaja's Palace and Chamundi
Hill, which is topped with a temple of Durga with the magnificent
5m tall Nandi, carved from a single piece of granite in 1659.
It is one of the largest of its kind in India. Overnight stay
in Mysore.
DAY
12: MYSORE-BANGALORE-MUMBAI
We
leave for an early morning drive to Bangalore (135 km / 3 hrs
). The city tour would include Tipu Sultan's Palace, one of
the most remarkable Islamic Buildings of the city and now a
museum, ISKCON Temple and Lal Bagh Garden. After the tour our
team assists you with your transfer to the airport to board
the flight for Mumbai. On arrival you would be assisted with
your check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Mumbai.

13: MUMBAI-UDAIPUR
After
breakfast we leave for a sightseeing tour of Mumbai, the dream
city of India, covering the 2000 year old Elephanta Caves,
Gateway of India, Marine Drive and the Prince Wales Museum.
Later on we assist you with your transfer to the airport for
your flight to Udaipur. On arrival at Udaipur you would be
assisted with your transfer to the hotel and check in. Overnight

14: UDAIPUR
A
morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur awaits us covering the
fascinating City Palace, the Garden of the Maids of Honour
and Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum. At sunset you can cruise around
in a boat amidst the romantic waters of Lake Pichola. Overnight

15: UDAIPUR-JAIPUR
The
day is free for leisurely activities till evening. In the evening
you would be assited to board your flight for Jaipur. On arrival

16: JAIPUR
Early
in the morning we head for a 11 km drive to Amber, the capital
of the gallant Rajputs from 1037 to 1728 AD. Here one can ascend
the Amber fort on elephant back. Later on we visit the City
Palace, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the Palace
of Winds. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

17: JAIPUR-AGRA
We
head for Agra in the morning (260 km / 6 hrs). En route we
visit Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece in sandstone with the
stunning elegance of its palaces and courts. On arrival our

18: AGRA
Agra,
the erstwhile capital of India under the great Mughals and
home to Taj Mahal, has always fascinated the Indians as well
as foreigners alike. Most of Agra is on the West bank of river
Yamuna, with the Agra Fort and the Taj at its nucleus. Taj
Mahal is quite simply one of mankind's most remarkable creations.
Early morning you enjoy the sight of the rising sun over the
dome like structure of the magnificent Taj Mahal. Next on
is a visit to Agra Fort. The evening would be at leisure.

19: AGRA-KHAJURAHO
After
breakfast we assist you with your transfer to the airport to
board your flight for Khajuraho. On arrival you would be assisted

20: KHAJURAHO-VARANASI
An
early morning sightseeing trip is planned here, covering temples
built between 950 and 1050 AD by the mighty warrior kings of
the Chandela dynasty, in a truly inspired burst of creativity.
Only 22 temples survive of the 85 originally built. Our team
ensures an on time transfer to the airport to board your flight
for Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi we assist you with your

21: VARANASI-DELHI
We
take an early morning boat ride over the holy river Ganges.
We return to the hotel for breakfast, after which we leave
for Sarnath at a distance of 12 km from Varanasi, where Lord

evening we assist you with your transfer to the airport to
board your flight for Delhi. On arrival our team assists you

22: DELHI
A
full day's sightseeing tour of Delhi is planned, beginning with
a morning trip to Old Delhi and followed by visits to the 1648
Red Fort, India's largest mosque - Jama Masjid and Gandhi Memorial
at Raj Ghat. The afternoon tour would include visits to India
Gate, President's House, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple and Qutb
