1:COLOMBO
Welcome
to your 'AHA Travel Sri Lankan Sojourn’
Tour! Following arrival in Colombo, you will be met and transferred
to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this
bustling city on your own and enjoy shopping for curios and
artefacts at the numerous shopping districts. Not to be missed
is the opportunity to enjoy bargaining at the Odel Unlimited
and Beverly Street markets. Later this evening, you will enjoy
a delicious dinner at the prestigious ‘Curry Leaves
Restaurant’. (D).
Day
2:KANDY
Today
you will proceed on a picturesque drive through lush green
landscape interspersed with tea and rubber plantations to
the charming hill city of Kandy. Enroute stop in Pinnawala
and enjoy visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, set up
to save abandoned and orphaned wild elephants. A perfect opportunity
to observe the babies having a bath and being fed by milk
bottles. Continue onwards to Kandy, where on arrival you will
be checked into your hotel. Later this afternoon you will
proceed on a guided city tour of including city highlights
like the Kandy Lake, the Temple of the Tooth
housing Sri Lanka’s most important Buddha Relic, the
Art & Crafts Centre displaying some of the country’s
finest artefacts. Complete the city tour with a visit to the
Peradeniya Botanic Gardens that served as
a royal pleasure garden with the finest collection of orchids
and an avenue of royal palms. The main attraction is the giant
Javan fig tree covering an area of 1600sq metres. Later this
evening you will enjoy witnessing a Kandyan Cultural Dance

Day
3:BENTOTA
Today
you will proceed on a drive the tropical paradise of Bentota
with miles of golden, palm-fringed beaches surrounded by the
blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Enroute enjoy visiting a
spice garden. On arrival in Bentota you will be checked into
your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the
beach resort at your own pace. (B, D).
Day
4:COLOMBO - RETURN HOME
The
morning is free to relax on the beach and enjoy swimming in
the Indian Ocean. Later, you will return to Colombo, where
on arrival you will proceed on a guided city tour of the highlights
which includes a drive through the Fort area, ‘pettah’
a bustling market place, mosques, temples and churches, law
courts and parliament buildings, the Independence Square,
Convention Centre (BMICH) and the National Museum. Tonight
you bid farewell to your ‘AHA Travel Sri Lankan Sojourn’
Tour as you transfer to the airport for your flight to India.
